We have seen reports from the CEC that adding to cart spins indefinitely. The has been happening since late Wednesday and affects users on THD checking out.
The AddToCart API was failing and I sent the issue to pre-sale. Julius and MJ determine that THD added a new cookie that wasn't in a format the C# could handle. This was causing the failure.
MJ and Julius spoke with Paul Sherrill who got us in contact with Derek Darling. Derek let us know the cookie was added and that the cookie:
Its related to our server to server implementation of our third parties.
Helps to keep third parties off the site but still passing the information for marketing and other data sources.
Julius proposed we drop that cookie before we do the call and Derek agreed it was good to drop it.
Julius then updated the octopus variable and deployed. Everything is looking good now.
We are using the outdate post instead of the more stable API to add items to cart. We need to upgrade this for THD on the configurator.
